Sanya, also known as the "Deer City," is located at the southern tip of Hainan Island. With a history dating back to ancient times when it was called Yazhou, Sanya boasts the discovery of the "Sanya Man" archaeological site, which traces back ten thousand years. As early as the first year of the Yuanfeng era during the Western Han Dynasty (110 BCE), Sanya was already an integral part of China. The city is geographically unique, making it the only one in the country where visitors can simultaneously experience tropical rainforests and coastal landscapes.
